NEW Vegetable Contact Agar for Isolators and Clean Rooms

Culture media containing raw materials from animal origin bear a potential risk of contamination with TSE/BSE transmitting agents.

Therfore it is recommended to employ raw materials that originate from „non TSE-relevant animal species“ or from „non-animal" sources.

To offer our customers an alternative choice we have developed the NEW Vegetable Contact Agar + LTHTh-ICRplus that consists of vegetable peptones exclusively.

The new product is suitable for surface monitoring in isolators and clean rooms (ICR).

New vegetable Pepton Broth for Media Fills

Media fills are performed as a validation of aseptic production processes. The operational steps are performed using a microbiological growth medium instead of the product. The sealed containers with medium are investigated for sterility at the end of the production process.

Usually sterilised, dehydrated media or ready prepared liquid media are used for media fills. The most often used medium is TSB (soybean casein digest medium).
