New Swabs for the Environmental Monitoring in Critical Areas
The new heipha ICR-Swab is a unique "All-In-One" product for the environmental monitoring in Isolators and Clean Rooms. The ICR-Swab is designed for qualitative microbial presence/absence tests. It is ideal for monitoring surfaces that are inaccessible to contact plates.
The ICR-Swab is designed to allow a safe and simple handling with a minimum risk of contamination:
- The swab is opened only once for sampling. All further handling steps such as adding the broth, incubation, and detection of turbidity, are performed in the closed system.
- The ICR-Swabs are triple-bagged, and gamma-sterilized at 25-35 kGy in the final packaging.
- The swab tip is made of low abrasion polyester material, and pre-moisturized with 0.9 % sodium chloride solution, which does not promote microbial growth on the surface to be monitored. The following products are available:
