Sabouraud Dextrose Agar (SDA) is a universal complex medium for cultivation and isolation of yeast and molds.
The formulation is prepared according to the recommendations of the EP and USP for microbiological examination of non-sterile products. It is suitable for the determination of TYMC (total yeast and mould count) as well as the absence test for Candida albicans.
Sabouraud Dextrose Agar is also available as LI-medium with 50 mg/l chloramphenicol (Ref. No. 03350e).
Tryptic Soy Agar (TSA, Casein Soya Bean Digest Agar) is a complex medium for cultivation and isolation of fastidious bacteria, yeast and molds. The medium can be incubated under aerobic or anaerobic conditions. The formulation of the basic medium is prepared according to the recommendations of the current United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) or European Pharmacopoeia (EP).
VRBD Agar (violet red bile dextrose agar) is used for the selective isolation of Enterobacteriaceae or bile tolerant gram-negative bacteria from non-sterile pharmaceutical products, food and other sample material.
The formulation of the medium is prepared according to the recommendations of harmonised methods of European Pharmacopoeia (EP 5.6) and United States Pharmacopoeia (USP 30 NF 25) as well as ISO 21528-1 und -2.
